You can use traditional phone line to have your alarm send signals to the central station. This is the cheapest option. You can also, if you don't have a phone line, use a cellular communicator. This has a higher yearly fee because part of the price pays for the cellular data the communicator will use. You can also use internet communicators. These send the signal over the internet to the central station. Some internet communicators carry the extra fee you'd pay just like the cellular communicators because they send signal to a forwarding station first before going to central station. Then there are some internet communicators that have a lower fee because the signal gets sent straight from your alarm system to the central station.
