What does "dual tech" mean when speaking of the Honeywell 5898?

Dual tech, dual tchnology, or dual lense refers to the fact that the motion detector has two ranges it detects on. One is the passive infrared (PIR) range and the other is Microwave. Both ranges have to be activated to set off this motion detector. This makes the motion detector less susceptable to false alarms.
