DSC HSM2164RF 433 Mhz Receiver For Power Series Neo

$119.95

Quick Overview

The DSC HSM2164RF is a wireless receiver module for the DSC NEO that allows it to utilize existing 433MHz legacy wireless devices from a previous DSC system. This can make your NEO upgrade simpler and more cost-effective by allowing you to replace your wireless devices over time rather than having to do it front during the system upgrade. It is recommended that you replace 433MHz sensors with PowerG devices as they age or wear out.

DSC HSM2164RF 433 Mhz Receiver For Power Series Neo

The HSM2164RF receiver is a module for the DSC PowerSeries NEO that allows the system to utilize the Legacy 433MHz sensors from the previous generation of DSC models. This means you'll not only be able to utilize the powerful new PowerG wireless technology, but you'll also be able to enroll any sensors that may already be placed in your home or business from your older DSC system. This makes the DSC NEO a much more affordable upgrade option for those who have a large amount of wireless devices. You'll also be afforded the benefit of being able to upgrade your old sensors as they start to wear out or go bad with the new and improved PowerG wireless sensors. Some 433MHz devices are not compatible with the HSM2164RF including wireless keypads, sirens, and 3rd party 433MHz devices.

The HSM2164RF is capable of including up to 64 433MHz sensors to the DSC NEO as well as 16 wireless keys (keyfobs). Your DSC NEO panel must be version 1.5 or higher to make use of this module though. The HSM2164RF has visible LEDs that will give you both status and communication indications on the device to easily see if you have a trouble or to see if sensors are making a connection when they trigger. Installation of the HSM2164RF is very simple as well, just requiring a 4-wire connection to the CORBUS of your DSC NEO panel. Once connected you enroll the module and it's ready to go.

One nice feature of the HSM2164RF is that it opens up a new wireless programming section in the NEO. This means that you can have both the HSM2164RF and a PowerG HOST receiver attached to the same system, and you will be able to program both without running into any confusing programming overlaps. In addition, you'll be able to customize your supervision time frames for your 433MHz sensors to ensure your sensors keep a solid connection to the receiver. You may also determine which zones will be supervised this way as well as determine whether the wireless keys you add to your system will be tied to a specific user. As with all DSC wireless devices, the HSM2164RF includes a wireless test procedure so you will be able to see what sensors may be showing a weak signal so you can relocate the receiver to a better location. The wireless range of the HSM2164RF is more limited compared to the PowerG receivers due to the fact that it uses the 433MHz frequency, but the unit can be run up to 1000ft away from the panel to accommodate a "centralized" location for your sensors.
